Continuity of Scientific Activities Is the Cornerstone of the Country's Resilience in the Future
The Director of the Center for Information Development, Coordination, and Scientific Publications of the Ministry of Health, while praising researchers as defenders of science, considered the strengthening of scientometric infrastructures under sanction conditions to be a strategic move.
According to the report from the university's web correspondent, Dr. Kourosh Kamali, Director of the Center for Information Development, Coordination, and Scientific Publications of the Ministry of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, at the Scientometrics Conference hosted by the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, he emphasized the necessity of responding to international scientific evaluation standards in light of the existing challenges in the competitive university environment.
He stated: In the current conditions of the country, including challenges related to limited access to scientific resources and the internet, strengthening scientometric infrastructures is not only a scientific necessity but also a strategic action to maintain security and the advancement of knowledge within the health system.
The Necessity of Transitioning from a Quantitative to a Qualitative Approach
In part of his speech at this conference, Dr. Kamali added: Scientometrics must move beyond counting articles and quantifying research.
The Director of the Center for Information Development, Coordination, and Scientific Publications of the Ministry of Health said: According to the statements of the Deputy of Research and Technology at the Ministry of Health, we should not engage in research in a way that causes us to become locked or experience difficulty and slowness; alongside this, we must maintain a spirit of vitality in research.

Considering the special conditions of the country and the damage inflicted on university infrastructures, Dr. Kamali, at this conference, expressed appreciation for the tireless efforts of researchers and faculty members who, alongside their role as defenders of health, also fulfill the role of defenders of science and research.
He added: Despite all existing obstacles and sanctions, the continuity of scientific and research activities is the cornerstone of the country's progress and resilience in the future.
This session expanded with the presence of prominent professors and executive managers and, at the conclusion, emphasized the necessity of increased interaction between scientific centers and universities to create a cohesive and influential scientific network.
