The Deputy of Cultural and Student Affairs at the Ministry of Health stated: The special support of the Martyr Leader for the scientific community, researchers, and elites laid the groundwork for the country's scientific growth and the realization of the regime's macro goals.
According to the university's web report, quoting Mefda of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, Dr. Masoud Habibi, the Deputy of Cultural and Student Affairs at the Ministry of Health, during the ceremony to commemorate the Martyr Imam, Grand Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei (may his soul be sanctified), and the renewal of allegiance to the Supreme Leader—held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, in the Shahid Ahmadi-Roshan Hall of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences—emphasized the strategic position of science and knowledge, identifying them as one of the main pillars of the country's progress and the strengthening of national power.
During the ceremony, referring to the wide public attendance in the rituals of commemoration and honoring the high status of the martyrs, Dr. Masoud Habibi said: The special support of the Supreme Leader for the scientific community, researchers, and elites has been the foundation for the country's scientific growth and the realization of the regime's macro goals.
He continued by emphasizing the necessity of the country becoming strong in all fields, citing science and technology as among the most important components of national authority, and stated: Achieving scientific and technological capabilities, alongside strengthening defensive power, plays a decisive role in countering enemy threats and maintaining the security and independence of the country.
The Deputy of Cultural and Student Affairs at the Ministry of Health also, while honoring the memory of the exalted martyrs, particularly Martyr Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam and the martyr commanders, praised the role of the armed forces and defensive achievements, especially in the field of missile capabilities, in safeguarding the dignity, security, and authority of Islamic Iran.
In the final part of his speech, Habibi emphasized the necessity of maintaining unity, solidarity, and national cohesion under the guidance of the Supreme Leader, and referring to the Supreme Leader's statements regarding the high status of martyrdom, described the continuation of this path as the guarantor of the country's dignity, authority, and pride.
The ceremony was held in the Shahid Ahmadi-Roshan Hall of this university, in the presence of a group of the university's Board of Trustees members, the Deputy of Cultural and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Health, Hojatoleslam Seyed Mazaher Hosseini (Director of Meetings and Ceremonies at the Martyr Imam's Office), the head of the Representative Institution of the Supreme Leader at the university, the Director of Public Relations of the Deputy of Cultural and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Health (Mefda), and professors, staff, and students of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences.
