Vice Chancellery for Research and Technology Aims to Develop the University's Digital Portals

 

The recent meeting of the University's Research Council, focusing on strategic governance indicators, knowledge production, and the impact of projects, was held in the presence of the Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology, and the heads of the university's research centers.

According to the report from the university's web correspondent, Dr. Robab Teymouri, the head of the Secretariat of the Research Council at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, stated: In its September meeting, the Research Council addressed the current and future research status of the university with an analytical approach. In this session, in addition to structural reviews, special focus was placed on the results of quantitative and qualitative evaluations to outline the path of the university's scientific development based on precise data.

It is worth noting that performance evaluation based on scientific indicators, the comparison of quantitative evaluation results of the research activities of the Vice Chancellery for Research and Technology, and discussions were held regarding the following sectors: governance and leadership indicators (examining managerial and strategic capabilities in guiding research), knowledge production and translation indicators (evaluating the level of scientific production and the ability to transfer and disseminate knowledge to society), and impactful projects indicators (focusing on the quality and impact level of research projects on society and industry).

In this meeting, in line with new policies to facilitate access to scientific resources and to promote the development of a knowledge-based economy, the necessary infrastructure for creating a virtual portal to sell physical book copies, while simultaneously enabling the sale of digital versions (E-books) of the university's publications, was discussed and reviewed by the University Research Council.

At the conclusion of this meeting, scientific events and specialized conferences, such as the Iran Anatomy Sciences Congress to be held in November 2026 and the 21st Scientometrics Conference of Medical Science Universities, which will be hosted by the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences both in person and virtually on September 9, 2026, were reviewed, and a set of submitted research proposals was also approved.
