Women’s health, a national asset for society’s resilience
The university Chancellor, in a message issued on the occasion of Iran’s National Women’s Health Week, emphasized the important role of women in promoting mental health, social health, and sustainable development of the country.
According to the university’s Web Day reporter, Dr. Seyed Ali Hosseini, Chancellor of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, stated in a message on the occasion of Iran’s National Women’s Health Week, congratulating all women in the country, that women’s health is the foundation of individual, family, and social resilience.
Referring to this year’s slogan, “Women’s health, the backbone of individual, family, and social resilience,” he said: Women, as the central axis of the family and society, play a decisive role in promoting physical, mental, and social health, and attention to their health guarantees the vitality and sustainable development of the country.
The Chancellor of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences added: Our university, with a special mission in the fields of mental health, social health, and rehabilitation, has always aimed to contribute to the health of women and the resilience of society through applied research, training specialized personnel, and providing educational and therapeutic services. This university, as the only specialized center in this field, commits itself to supporting national women’s health programs.
Dr. Hosseini, in ending, expressed gratitude for the efforts of women in various scientific, social, and cultural fields and hoped that through synergy and targeted planning, we will witness further improvements in women’s health and, consequently, the flourishing of society.
