A researcher and faculty member at the university was honored at the Farabi Festival
Dr. Ashraf Akbari Dehaghy, a faculty member in the Psychology Department at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, was introduced as a distinguished work and honored at the Sixteenth Farabi International Festival.
According to a report by the university’s Web Day, the Sixteenth Farabi International Festival, focusing on research in the humanities and Islamic studies, was held at Tehran University’s Amini Hall, with the attendance of high-ranking government officials.
In this scientific event, Dr. Ashraf Akbari Dehaghy’s PhD thesis, a faculty member of the Psychology Department at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, titled “Feasibility of Nature-Based Treatment Protocols and Religious Content and Determining Their Effectiveness in Patients with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder” was introduced as a distinguished work in the adult category, General Psychology, Behavioral Sciences and Education group, and she was honored.
This research, which focuses on modern therapeutic approaches and leverages the capacities of nature-based therapy and religious components in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder, represents a meaningful step toward developing indigenous knowledge in clinical psychology.
