August 17 marks the Day of Return of the Proud Azadegan to the Homeland, and a Reminder of Their Enduring Resistance
The Advisor and Secretary of the Office for Veterans and Martyrs Affairs for university staff and students, in a message on the occasion of the anniversary of the return of the heroic Azadegan to the Islamic homeland, commemorated this important day and praised the selfless sacrifices and steadfastness of the Azadegan during captivity.
According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, Dr.Abolfazl Rahgouy, Advisor and Secretary of the Office for Veterans and Martyrs Affairs for university staff and students, in a message commemorating the anniversary of the return of the heroic Azadegan to the Islamic homeland, paid tribute to the day and said:
“Dear Azadegan, you have never belonged to a single historical period; you have always been a spirit that permeates all eras and pillars of the Iranian nation. Your message and example symbolize steadfastness, dignity, and courage, from which one can draw inspiration at any time and in any place. During the Sacred Defense, the Azadegan stood against enemies with cries of freedom and independence, and, in the service of establishing and sustaining the Islamic Republic of Iran, sacrificed their lives.”
Dr.Rahgouy added: “On this auspicious day, in addition to extending congratulations to His Eminence the Leader of the Revolution (may God protect him), the great Iranian nation, the proud Azadegan, the families of martyrs and veterans, and especially our esteemed colleagues, we ask God Almighty to grant health and prosperity to all.”
