Celebration of Professors Appreciation Ceremony at The University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences
The University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences organized a ceremony to honor and appreciate educators. The event was held in Dr. Shamlou Hall and was attended by the university's president, vice presidents, faculty members, professors, and instructors.
According to our university correspondent, Dr. Seyed Ali Hosseini, the Chancellor of the university, addressed attendees, including faculty, instructors, vice chancellors, and the education department staff, congratulating them on Teacher's Day, Worker’s Day, and the blessed birth of Imam Reza (AS). He highlighted the university’s successes over the past year and emphasized the importance of continuing to achieve new honors in the year ahead. He noted, “Considering the capabilities of our university, it is among the leading universities in the country. The responsibility on our faculty members is heavy, and you must strive for even greater achievements.”
He added, “As educators, we must be willing to make sacrifices. I ask you to teach our students to be learnable, ethical, and exemplary role models.”
The university chancellor also noted that Student Dormitory Week is approaching. He urged faculty members to visit the dormitories, interact with students, and foster better communication.
He concluded by emphasizing the critical role of university faculty in student development, stating, “The role and position of university professors go far beyond imparting knowledge—they have a profound influence on shaping students. We hope that through the exceptional roles of our professors and the impact students have from this learned group, we will see educators not only excel in teaching and research but also contribute to the social upbringing and character development of students.”
Experienced Human Resources: A Catalyst for National Development
Dr. Hamidreza Khoram Khorshid, Vice Chancellor for Education at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, commemorated the memory of Martyr Professor Morteza Motahari and congratulated all esteemed faculty members on Teacher and Professor Appreciation Day. He emphasized that education and training of skilled personnel are essential for the progress and prosperity of the country.
He stated, “Developed countries are actively identifying and recruiting professional and experienced human resources.”
Dr. Khoram Khorshid further asserted that education must be a national priority. He called on the academic community to provide appropriate, evidence-based solutions for various sectors across the country.
