Chancellor Emphasizes Productivity, Financial Discipline, and Preservation of Human Dignity
During a meeting of the Board of Trustees, the Chancellor, while congratulating the start of the academic year and commemorating Holy Defense Week, outlined managerial red lines and emphasized the necessity of full readiness to welcome students, the safeguarding of human dignity, and a decisive approach to financial indiscipline.
According to the university's web correspondent, the university's Board of Trustees meeting was held in the presence of Dr. Seyed Ali Hosseini, the Chancellor, along with vice chancellors and senior managers of the institution.
Commemorating Holy Defense Week and the Start of the New Academic Year
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Seyed Ali Hosseini, the Chancellor, congratulated students, professors, and faculty members on the start of the academic year and stated: Various organs of the university have implemented documented arrangements and programs to warmly welcome students and reopen the university. We hope to provide a dynamic, high-quality environment worthy of our dear students.
Commemorating Holy Defense Week, he added: These days remind us of the eight years of sacrifice and selflessness by the great nation of Iran. Our duty in the fortress of science and health is to utilize all our power and capacity to honor the blood of the martyrs.
Appreciation for Hosting the National Scientometrics Conference and the Success of the Student Research Committee
Referring to the scientific events held in late September, the Chancellor noted: The successful hosting of the 12th Conference of Heads and Specialists of Scientometrics Offices of the country's medical universities, held at our university with the presence of the Deputy for Research and Technology of the Ministry of Health, had a very positive impact. The honorable Deputy Minister expressed appreciation for the high level of the event by sending a plaque of gratitude, and I would like to thank Dr. Khanjani, the Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology, and his colleagues for their efforts.
Dr. Hosseini also highlighted the scientific brilliance of the students, stating: Winning first place nationwide by the university's Student Research Committee at the Kerman Medical Sciences conference is another golden leaf of this university's scientific capability. I must express my gratitude and appreciation to the Vice Chancellor for Research, Dr. Professor Hashemi, the Director of the Student Research Committee, and other colleagues of this committee.
Continuing, he referred to the university's Ethics Council, emphasizing: The concerns of professors regarding research ethics have been carefully examined by this council, and it is necessary that its resolutions be seriously placed on the executive agenda.
Maximum Productivity and Zero-Tolerance Financial Discipline
Emphasizing the resolutions of the university's productivity working group, the Chancellor stated: Productivity must be a daily concern and the primary priority for all vice chancellors, managers, and staff. Although the deputies for development and treatment play a more prominent role, all organs of the university must make serious efforts to achieve the highest possible efficiency through the optimal use of resources.
Addressing the Acting Vice Chancellor for Management Development and Resources, Dr. Hosseini emphasized the necessity of comprehensive discipline, stating: Financial discipline must be implemented decisively; no negligence or misuse of university resources is acceptable, and violators will face severe legal action. In administrative matters, preserving the honor and dignity of colleagues and students is our red line; the university will be no place for those who break norms.
Full Readiness of Dormitory and Welfare Facilities for 537 Students
In the second part of the meeting, Dr. Maryam Tafaroji Yeganeh, Director of Student Affairs, presented a report on the measures taken for the reopening of the university and the start of the academic year. Referring to the accommodation of 537 students in the dormitories, she said: Extensive plans for improvement, painting, and civil repairs in all student residences have been completed, and the dormitories are fully ready for the students.
She emphasized: Precise planning has also been carried out in the areas of nutrition and other welfare services, as honoring the student is the primary goal of the university's student management.
