From Tracking Demands Moment by Moment to a Foosball Challenge: A Different Take on Azar 16th with the Tehran Governor

On a different night from Student Day, the Tehran Governor attended Imam Hossein Dormitory (A.S.) and sat down with the students to discuss their viewpoints. An unmediated conversation that began with moment-by-moment follow-up of demands and ended with a friendly foosball competition.

According to reporting from Web Day University, Mohammad-Sadegh Motamediyan, the Tehran Governor, on Sunday evening, coinciding with Student Day on Azar 16, visited the Imam Hossein (A.S.) Male Dormitory at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, and joined students in a cordial gathering to hear their perspectives, concerns, and demands up close. The session began with an unmediated, direct dialogue, taking place in an open and informal atmosphere. In this setting, students raised issues related to their education, welfare, and union matters. Motamediyan, while listening to the students’ full remarks, followed up on some demands on the spot by contacting the relevant officials and issuing necessary orders to resolve the issues raised immediately. The Tehran Governor also explained the follow-up process, the provincial agenda, and actions in the field of student welfare. In another part of the meeting, to mark Student Day, the Governor congratulated the students with flowers and took a commemorative photo.

However, the program ended with a more colorful moment; Motamediyan stood for a few minutes at the foosball table beside the students, and a friendly competition between the governor and a group of students took place.
