According to the university web-day reporter, Dr. Samaneh Sazgarnejad, a faculty member of the speech therapy department at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, examined the various dimensions of social cognition and its role in daily and clinical interactions during the Book Cafe ceremony.
In this meeting, she discussed the concept of Social Cognition from public environments to clinical settings and emphasized the importance of social attention, interpretation of situations, theory of mind, and executive functions of the brain in the formation of social behavior.
Stating that these processes occur in a fraction of a second, Dr. Sazgarnejad said: These processes allow us to be present in social environments, process information, and provide appropriate responses.
Factors affecting social skills
The faculty member of the speech therapy department at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences identified the variables affecting social skills as including the environmental context, an individual's mental background, feedback received from the environment, and internal factors such as knowledge and personal goals.
