Maintaining and Enhancing University Reputation Depends on Producing Healthy and Ethical Data

 

The Chancellor of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, in a meeting of the Medical Ethics Council, emphasized the necessity of producing healthy data by domestic researchers and maintaining rigorous supervision over research and clinical processes.

According to the report from the university's web correspondent, Dr. Seyed Ali Hosseini, Chancellor of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, emphasizing the advisory role of council members in monitoring ethical issues, stated that the university's reputation must be accompanied by the preservation and enhancement of data quality. He added: We must strive to ensure that healthy data is produced under the university's name and by the researchers within this institution.

Referring to the importance of the leading role of council members in maintaining scientific standards, he called for serious monitoring of ethical issues in all scientific communications and research activities, adding: As experts in this field, you must be pioneers so that we can implement ethical frameworks at all levels of the university.

 

Resource Management and Addressing Emerging Challenges

 

Regarding the management of research resources (grants), Dr. Hosseini clarified that the university's goal is to utilize these resources for infrastructure development and to establish connections between academia and industry. He also emphasized the need to form a Recovery Working Group under the supervision of the Medical Ethics Council; this working group will identify interfering factors in the ethics of education and research, while taking artificial intelligence considerations into account.

In this regard, Dr. Enayatollah Bakhshi, Secretary and member of the Medical Ethics Council, emphasized the importance of transparency and documentation on the university website while explaining the secretariat's duties. He called for the rigorous verification of research project goals before they become outputs to prevent conflicts with the university's interests and research negligence.

 

Developing Ethics in Education and Treatment

 

Dr. Khoram-Khorshid, the university's Vice Chancellor for Education, emphasized structural support for research-oriented faculty members and called for facilitating the activities of this group to enhance research potential alongside the quality of education. He also suggested that sessions to review ethical issues in medical centers be held regularly to precisely monitor challenges, prevent errors, and strengthen patient trust.

On the other hand, Dr. Saeid Khanjani, the university's Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology, emphasized the need to adhere to ethical standards when using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in content production and book publishing, and stressed the sensitivity of ethics committees in supervising the quality and precise methodology of research projects.

Finally, Dr. Khodaei, the university's Vice Chancellor for Rehabilitation and Treatment, noting the necessity of forming mission-oriented ethics committees in clinical environments to protect patient rights, announced the readiness of the Treatment Deputy to strengthen these standards and institutionalize professional ethics in hospitals.
