In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
On the occasion of World Occupational Therapy Day, I am honored to extend my congratulations and best wishes to all dear occupational therapists, especially our esteemed colleagues at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences.
Occupational therapy, as a specialized and humane profession, plays an indispensable role in improving the quality of life for people with special needs and in rehabilitation across various domains. Occupational therapists, using scientifically grounded and evidence-based methods, help individuals achieve their greatest capabilities and participate effectively in society, workplaces, and personal life. This profession plays a vital role in different conditions, especially in the rehabilitation of people after illnesses, injuries, and various disorders.
The University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, with pride and commitment to scientific and professional development, has always been at the forefront of training skilled personnel in various rehabilitation fields, especially occupational therapy. By employing distinguished faculty and modern teaching methods, the university has consistently advanced the cultivation of capable, scholarly, and dedicated occupational therapists. The university’s special and central status in training specialized personnel in occupational therapy has ensured that it remains at the forefront of providing educational and research services in the field of rehabilitation.
In the current context, where social changes and rising mental and physical health problems increase the demand for rehabilitation services, occupational therapy, as one of the main pillars of the health system, plays a key role in empowering individuals. Therefore, educating and training occupational therapy specialists at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences is one of our primary priorities.
Moreover, the important status of the occupational therapy discipline in the health system is significant not only as a rehabilitation field but also as a central pillar in promoting social and individual well-being. Occupational therapists, using individual and group approaches, make substantial contributions to improving people’s living conditions and play a major role in facilitating their return to social and occupational life.
As a leading university in education and research in this area, we have always strived to ensure, through up-to-date educational programs and a focus on research and innovation, that our graduates, as skilled professionals, are prepared to meet the complex and evolving needs of society in the field of rehabilitation.
Finally, I extend my gratitude to all dear occupational therapists and hardworking colleagues serving on this path, and I wish all occupational therapists continued success, health, and progress.
