Reviewing Social and Cultural Patterns: From the Role of the Family to the Necessity of Reconstructing Educational Structures

The Office of Social Participations, in collaboration with the Office of Faculty and Elite Consultations at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, held the fifth meeting of the consultative series on Family and Population, attended by professors and staff. Focused on the sociological analysis of marriage and demographic challenges, the meeting provided a platform to exchange views on cultural and educational developments.

According to a report by the University's Web-Day reporter, during this scientific meeting, which was held under the theme Educational Workshop on Marriage, Family, and Population from a Sociological Perspective, Dr. Reza Mohammadbabai, a social researcher and university lecturer, explained the challenges facing the family structure in contemporary society.

In this meeting, extensive discussions were held regarding cultural differences in population management and the impact of behavioral patterns on decisions related to family formation. Dr. Babai, while noting the necessity of reviewing traditional perspectives, emphasized that social and cultural transformations play a decisive role in changing the behavior of new generations toward marriage and childbearing.

Additionally, in part of this meeting, discussions were held in the field of Culture of Reconstruction and Social Solidarity. Referencing sociological concepts, the importance of the role of the culture of helping others and its impact on the survival of societies was mentioned; a topic that demonstrates how empathetic behaviors and supportive structures can be effective in transitioning through social crises and strengthening family ties.

In addition to demographic discussions, educational and pedagogical aspects were also addressed. In this regard, the necessity of reviewing methods of learning and knowledge transfer was emphasized.

By criticizing some old educational patterns and explaining the process of socialization and its importance during childhood and adolescence, Dr. Babai emphasized the need to transform learning into an enjoyable and practical experience for students and researchers, so they can use their knowledge toward improving the quality of life and solving real societal problems.

This meeting was held with the aim of creating a platform for interaction between elites and university staff to formulate scientific solutions for challenges related to family and population.
