At the twelfth conference of heads and experts of scientometrics departments of the country's medical science universities, the Chancellor, emphasizing the strategic position of this field, stated: Scientometrics is no longer a side activity, but rather a vital tool for enhancing the quality of medical science universities.
According to the report from the university's website, Dr. Seyed Ali Hosseini, the Chancellor of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, at the twelfth conference of heads and experts of scientometrics departments of the country's medical science universities, which was hosted by this university, emphasized the strategic position of this field, saying: Scientometrics is no longer a side activity, but rather a vital tool for enhancing the quality of medical science universities.
Referring to the unique characteristics of the health sector in medical science universities, Dr. Hosseini added: The use of scientometric tools helps us to measure not only the quantity of research but also its quality and the extent of its impact on community health.
The Chancellor of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences emphasized that precise scientometrics is not merely an administrative activity, but a guide for identifying superior research pathways and preventing the waste of scientific resources, ensuring that university outputs are directly in service of improving people's quality of life and the progress of the health system. Dr. Hosseini also noted that in today's competitive environment, scientific management and accountability to evaluation standards have become one of the serious challenges for universities.
In this scientific session, which was held with the theme of Smart Scientometrics: Resilience of the Health System and Sustainable Security, the challenges facing universities in dealing with improper scientific activities and the necessity of transitioning from superficial approaches toward authentic research were discussed and examined.
During this event, the extensive efforts of faculty members and experts from medical science universities to enhance the qualitative level of the Ministry of Health's scientific outputs were acknowledged and appreciated.
