The Chancellor of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, in commemorating Basij Week, emphasized the importance of the Basijis’ spirit of sacrifice and steadfastness in scientific and cultural fields, and thanked the efforts of the university’s Medical Community Basij and, in particular, the outstanding performance of the Basijis at Razi Hospital, calling it a clear embodiment of continuing the Basij’s path.
According to a report by the university’s web desk, Dr. Seyed Ali Hosseini, Chancellor of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, in a Basij Council meeting, while commemorating the martyrs and congratulating the birth of Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her), said: The valour and sincerity of the combatants and Basijis during the Sacred Defense period is an enduring capital for the Iranian nation; today, that same spirit must continue in cultural, scientific, and social arenas.
Referring to his memories from the fronts and his presence on Majnoon Island, he stressed: Being Basij means a spirit of sacrifice, service, and resilience against enemies, which must remain alive today in scientific and cultural fields as well. Dr. Hosseini thanked the efforts of the university’s Medical Community Basij and especially the outstanding performance of the Basijis at Razi Hospital, and added: The coherent and jihadist programs of these dear ones are a clear embodiment of continuing the Basij’s path.
Dr. Kianoosh Abdi, head of the university’s Medical Community Basij, pointed to the enduring qualities of Basij, saying: Basij Week is an opportunity to revisit a lasting truth; that Basij is a force born of faith, people-centeredness, and national self-reliance, and beyond an administrative structure, a living and inspiring cultural presence within the fabric of society.
The head of the university’s Medical Community Basij, honoring the memory of the martyrs, explained Basij’s role in achieving the university’s goals and added: Basij is the university’s operational arm in all fields, and with its jihadist spirit, it can play a role in advancement, transformation, and service to society. Abdi also noted the role of Basijis in creating dynamism and motivation within the university, saying: Today, Basij is not only a reminder of the Sacred Defense memories but also a strategic force for the country’s scientific, cultural, and social progress. He thanked the members of the university’s Medical Community Basij Central Council and urged regular meetings with the university Chancellor.
Preserving the Basij culture in science and education, Dr. Hamidreza Khoramkhorshid, the university’s Vice Chancellor for Educational Affairs, recalling his memories of the Sacred Defense era and his association with martyr Chamran, said: A Basiji is present in the field whenever the country needs it. Today as well, we must keep the Basij culture alive in the fields of science, education, and service.
