On the occasion of April 21st, National Speech Therapy Day, the Chancellor of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences expressed appreciation for the efforts of professionals in this field and emphasized the necessity of paying greater attention to the scientific and professional capacities of speech therapy in health policymaking.
According to a report by the University's Web-Da reporter, coinciding with the arrival of National Speech Therapy Day and the commemoration of Saadi, Dr. Seyed Ali Hosseini, Chancellor of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, stated in a message that this day is a valuable opportunity to honor the scientific and humanitarian efforts of speech therapy practitioners.
Pointing out that speech therapy is one of the main pillars of the country's rehabilitation system, he remarked: This discipline plays a fundamental role in rehabilitating speech, language, swallowing, and human communication abilities, helping many individuals overcome communication limitations and participate more actively in their personal and social lives.
While congratulating professors, specialists, students, and practitioners in this field, Dr. Hosseini praised their dedicated efforts in providing specialized services, education, and research activities. He described their role in improving the quality of life for individuals with disorders as lasting and impactful within the country's healthcare system.
