The Chancellor of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences Engages in Warm Interactions with Dormitory Students During Dormitory Week
To mark Dormitory Week, the Chancellor of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, along with vice chancellors and a group of university managers, visited student dormitories and held friendly discussions with students.
According to our university correspondent, in conjunction with honoring Dormitory Week, the university’s leadership conducted visits to the student accommodations. During these visits, students had the opportunity to engage in informal conversations with the Chancellor, vice chancellors, and dormitory managers, sharing their concerns and issues.
Topics discussed included welfare, living conditions, academic and educational matters, IT facilities within the dormitories, nutrition, sports, cultural and social activities, mental health, and safety. The officials addressed students’ questions and suggestions, offering solutions aimed at improving dormitory conditions.
Dr. Farhood Saeed Ershadi, the Vice Chancellor for Student Cultural Affairs, commented: “These visits help us stay closely informed about students’ needs and challenges, enabling us to take effective actions. Greater interaction with students enhances the quality of life in dormitories and supports their academic success.”
He further explained that Dormitory Week, which runs from May 10 to 16 under the slogan “Dormitories: The Origin of Friendship, Growth, and the Flight of Ideas,” includes various programs organized by the university’s Student Cultural Committee.
Dr. Ershadi added: “During this week, we have organized several activities such as visits from university officials to dormitories, nightly Isha and Maghrib prayers in all dorms, the selection of the most hygienic room to promote safety and health, thematic podcasts, daily infographic posters, sharing scientific notes and book recommendations related to dorm life, and creating videos about the dormitory atmosphere.”
Additional activities include a local bread and pastry festival, physical health screenings, table football and darts competitions for male and female students, the presence of counselors and psychological workshops, educational posters on addiction prevention, recreational trips to Isfahan and Opark Water Park, a game design contest for male students, the selection of exemplary rooms and suites, and a photography contest titled “One Cluttered Room Before and After Cleaning.” The event attracted enthusiastic participation from students, making it a successful week of cultural, educational, and sports activities.
