The Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences has issued its second call for research proposals, aligning with the Ministry of Health’s policy to promote problem-oriented and needs-based research. This initiative specifically targets faculty members and students of the university.
According to Web da News, to provide scientific solutions to the priority challenges of the national health system—particularly in rehabilitation and social health—the Research and Technology Center has launched its second call for submitting, reviewing, and approving research projects for the year 1404.
This call is exclusively reserved for esteemed faculty members and students of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences. Submitted proposals must focus on key issues and address national and regional needs.
In this regard, 14 research priority areas for the year 1404 have been announced as follows:
- Integration of Rehabilitation into the Health System across Human Resources, Financing, Service Provision, and Rehabilitation Technologies
- Governance and Leadership in Rehabilitation
- Designing Rehabilitation Databases Based on Outcomes, Services, and Providers
- Development, Implementation, and Evaluation of Rehabilitation Profiles and Protocols at Various Levels of the Health System
- Designing Assistive Devices for Individuals with Disabilities, Emphasizing Priority Disabilities
- Formulating Policy Scenarios in Physical Rehabilitation through Needs Assessment, Cost-Benefit, Cost-Effectiveness, and Access Analysis
- Monitoring and Assessing the Impact of Social Determinants of Health, such as Poverty, Low Literacy, Migration, Unemployment, and Inequality, on Social Capital
- Developing Community-Based, Volunteer-Driven, and Public Participation Models for Rehabilitation in Crises and Disasters
- Identifying Social Determinants Related to Health in People with Disabilities, with a Focus on Priority Rehabilitation Disorders
- Analyzing the Physical, Social, and Psychological Outcomes of Crises and Environmental and Human-Made Threats
- Designing Tools and Creating Management Dashboards to Assess the Preparedness of the Health System in Emergencies and Disasters
- Mapping Substance Abuse Patterns in Specific Groups and Projecting Future Trends based on Prevalence, Disease Burden, and Interventions
- Designing, Implementing, and Evaluating Community-Based Models to Enhance Daily Living Activities among the Elderly
- Developing and Executing Innovative Rehabilitation Models for Frail and Disabled Elderly
The Vice Chancellor for Research has emphasized that submitted proposals must be challenge-oriented, practical, and aligned with the real needs of the national health system.
