The University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences (USWR) is recognized among the Country's Top Universities in Clinical Ethics
The Deputy Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, while commending the performance of clinical ethics committees across the nation's medical universities, introduced the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences (USWR) as one of the top universities for the full implementation of notified guidelines and programs.
According to the university's Webday correspondent, Dr. Sajjad Razavi, Deputy Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, expressed gratitude for the efforts and follow-ups of clinical ethics committee colleagues within the treatment departments of medical universities nationwide. He subsequently announced the performance evaluation results of these committees for the first half of the year 1404 (2025-2026).
Based on these evaluations, universities that—according to established indicators—took consistent action in forming clinical ethics committees at both university and hospital levels, and maintained planned and continuous supervision over the quality of meetings, were honored.
Among them, the medical universities of Urmia, Iran, Babol, Bam, Tabriz, the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences (USWR), Jahrom, and Hamadan (listed in alphabetical order) were introduced as the institutions that have fully implemented the executive directives and mandated programs.
