The specialized conference marking World Schizophrenia Day, with a focus on the rehabilitation of chronic psychiatric patients, is scheduled for June 28 (7th of Khordad) at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences.
According to a report from the university's web news staff, the conference will take place on June 28, emphasizing a rehabilitation approach.
During this event, Dr. Seyed Javad Hosseini, President of the Welfare Organization, will deliver a speech on the organization’s role in providing services to chronic mental health patients. Additionally, Dr. Shalbafan, Director General of Mental Health at the Ministry of Health, will discuss the ministry’s role in delivering services to chronic psychiatric patients.
The conference features two specialized panels. The first panel will address the necessity of non-pharmacological rehabilitation for psychiatric patients, featuring mental health and rehabilitation experts, along with an exploration of the legal issues faced by psychiatric and neurological patients. The second panel will focus on providing rehabilitation services.
This event aims to improve the quality of rehabilitation services and raise awareness about the challenges faced by schizophrenia patients.
