According to the university’s Web Day correspondent, the Steering Committee on Prayer Assembly for the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences was held with the presence of the Chancellor of the University, the representative of the Office of the Leader, the Cultural Affairs Manager, a representative of the faculty members, a representative of the Treatment Vice-Chancellor, and the Public Relations Office.
Dr. Seyed Ali Hosseini, the Chancellor of the University, at the outset of the Steering Committee on Prayer Assembly, emphasized the importance of prayer for strengthening spiritual health in the university environment, saying: The status of prayer as part of a lifestyle is very valuable, and the culture of prayer constitutes a major part of this domain. Our emphasis is that the congregational prayer be held in a wonderful manner.
This meeting of the Prayer Assembly Steering Committee, with a focus on implementing the resolutions of previous sessions and to expand participation and maximize attendance of faculty members, students, and staff in the congregational prayer, addressed topics such as not holding meetings and classes concurrently with prayer times, equipping dormitory prayer halls, conducting evidence-based research on topics such as "diagnosis related to issues of congregational prayer" and "results of statistical surveys and polls among students on the subject of prayer," organizing cultural activities and promoting and publicizing prayer, planning in student dormitories, and creating incentives for the university family.
