University Chancellor's Congratulatory Message on the Anniversary of the Return of the Liberated Prisoners (Azadegan) to the Islamic Homeland
Dr. Seyed Ali Hosseini, Chancellor of the University and Head of the Shahid and Veterans Affairs Committee at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, in a message marking August 17 (26 Mordad), the anniversary of the return of the valiant Azadegan to Islamic Iran, described this day as a reminder of the dignified return of men and women who, after enduring years of hardship and separation from their homeland, attained the honor of freedom.

The proud Azadegan are symbols of patience, resilience, and the dignity of the great nation of Iran; men who, during the difficult years of captivity, protected the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and our beloved homeland with faith, forbearance, and high morale, and did not allow the flag of honor and pride of Islamic Iran to fall before the enemies.
August 17, the anniversary of the glorious return of the Azadegan to the Islamic homeland, is a reminder of a great and unforgettable day in the history of this land; a day when the Iranian nation went to welcome its heroic children—children who endured years of the pain of separation from their homeland, torture, and the hardships of captivity with patience and faith, and through their return, demonstrated a lasting manifestation of sacrifice, loyalty, and devotion.
While commemorating the memory of the esteemed martyrs, the proud veterans, and all those who sacrificed during the Sacred Defense era, I extend my congratulations on the arrival of the Day of the Azadegan to the dear liberated prisoners, their honorable families, and the large family of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences.
On this precious occasion, I offer my most sincere congratulations and appreciation to two esteemed colleagues of the university, Mr. Dr. Ali Khaji and Mr. Babak Forutan, who have the honor of being liberated and have years of honorable resistance in captivity in their life records.
Undoubtedly, your presence in the university community is not merely a personal honor; it is a valuable asset for the academic community and an inspiring model for the younger generation. Your precious experiences of steadfastness, hope, empathy, and maintaining human dignity are a guiding light for all those who walk the path of serving the people and advancing social health and welfare. I pray to Almighty God for the health, increasing dignity, and pride of all the proud Azadegan and their noble families, and for you, dear colleagues, for continued success in serving the progress and excellence of the university.
