Social Welfare Management Research Center:

The Social Welfare Management Research Center was established in 2013 and has continued its activities until now, based on the authorization of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, in the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences. The regular publication of the Journal of Social Welfare was launched and it has continued until now. The Journal has been received academic accreditation from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in 2002.

The organization of the center is composed of the Founder Committee, Research Committee, and the General Council. Research activities of the Center are planned in the Research Council which consists of faculty members and researchers of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences and other related universities. The Center is enjoying various expertise of the working members in the areas of sociology, psychiatry, social medicine, psychology, law, economics, health, and statistics.

 

Our mission:

The Social Welfare Management Research Center, as the first research institution in the field of Health and social welfare in the country, intends to play a role by implementing and developing basic and applied research, with a goal-oriented principal and a special focus on the fields of welfare and social health according to the following strategies:

  •  Implementation of basic and applied research in the areas of community health and social welfare
  •  Educational and research collaborations with related research organizations and social welfare centers within the university
  • Educational and research collaborations with other research centers and scientific associations in the country
  •  Educational and research cooperation with international organizations concerned with the social welfare within the country
  •  Cooperating with relevant governmental and nongovernmental organizations concerned with social welfare and social health in the country operating in the fields of policy, planning, and scientific empowerment
  • Using various methods of disseminating knowledge to continue publication of research findings and community notification
  • Setting up and developing long-term and short-term training courses
