Establishing an Excellence Center for Rehabilitation Services in Tehran with the Support of the Welfare Organization

The Chancellor of USWR emphasized the need for greater interaction and collaboration with the Welfare Organization, noting that the university's faculty and research members are eager to assist with the organization's research initiatives.He also said The University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences currently holds a reputable academic standing within the Ministry of Health, which has entrusted its missions in rehabilitation and social health to the university.
Dr. Khorramkhorshid , Vice Chancellor for Educational Affairs proposed the establishment of a joint Incubation Center between the university and the Welfare Organization.
He further suggested that, based on the Welfare Organization's needs, the university should develop and offer training and retraining courses for the organization's staff and experts.
Dr. Mohseni Bandpei ,Vice Chancellor for International Affairs emphasized that The university can serve as a support center for the Welfare Organization in three key areas: prevention, rehabilitation, and injury management.
Continuing the specialized scientific meeting, Dr. Ahmad Delbari, head of the Iranian Research Center on Aging, presented statistics on the aging trend in the country, stating that The USWR is the nation's hub for aging research. Dr. Delbari emphasized the need to consider employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for the elderly, proposing the establishment of an elderly care course.
Dr. Khanjani, Vice Chancellor for Research at the university, highlighted the university's capabilities in education and research, stating that a joint initiative within the university's Incubation Center could create opportunities for producing rehabilitation products needed in the market.
