The inaugural specialized conference focusing on autism spectrum disorders will take place on May 1-2 of this year. The event will emphasize innovative methods for diagnosis and treatment, sensory and cognitive challenges associated with autism, and the importance of play and leisure activities in the development of children affected by this condition.
According to the university’s news reporter, Dr. Nazila Akbar Fehimi, the Scientific Secretary of the Conference and Associate Professor at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, announced that the first specialized conference on autism spectrum disorders will be held on May 1-2 of this year at the university.
She explained that this conference aims to familiarize attendees with the latest methods of diagnosis and treatment of autism, while examining its various aspects and providing an opportunity for professionals and students to exchange expertise and experiences.
Dr. Fehimi emphasized that the conference, focusing on topics such as innovative diagnostic approaches, sensory and cognitive disorders associated with autism, and the importance of play and leisure activities in the development of children with autism, will feature prominent experts and researchers presenting new scientific findings.
She added that this event offers a valuable chance to explore current therapeutic methods for individuals with autism. The conference, which adopts a multidisciplinary approach involving rehabilitation sciences and related fields, seeks to promote awareness and understanding of autism spectrum disorders.
Participants will benefit from continued education credits in fields including occupational therapy, speech therapy, audiology, child and adolescent psychiatry, ergonomics, rehabilitation counseling, and optometry.
